The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), South East zone held a meeting with the Imo State party chairman, Hon. Chief John Iwuala recently at the party secretariat complex at Egbu Road, Owerri.
The caretaker committee chairman explained that the reason the meeting was to put heads together and plan ahead of the forthcoming Imo North senatorial by-election.
He expressed gratitude that the party made a nice choice and was certain that people of Okigwe North were equally happy the choice of the party’s candidate.
Iwuala maintained that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had scheduled the senatorial by-election in Imo North on the 31st October, 2020, to replace the late Sen. Benjamin Uwajumogu who died in active service last year.
He urged all the party members and Imo North electorate to vote for Hon. Chief Charles Onyirimba . He added that the zone needed a credible representative at the national assembly, particularly, the senate.
He said, “INEC, is a credible institution and so cannot allow itself to be used for malpractice by those whose stock in trade is electoral rigging ”
The Anambra state party chairman of APGA Hon. Chief Lambert Obi urged the party members to bring out their PVCs and vote for Hon chief Charles Onyirimba on October, 31, 2020.
