Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South-east zone have expressed appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari for the effort which his government has put into the second Niger Bridge and other massive infrastructural projects in the zone.
They made their feelings known when they were led by leader of APC in the zone, Senator Hope Uzodimma on a fact finding visit to the site of the second Niger Bridge.

Speaking during the visit, Governor Hope Uzodimma said APC leaders in the zone decided to jointly inspect the progress of work on the flagship project of over N366 billion which will link the South-East, South-South and entire country.
Uzodimma made it clear that on completion and commissioning of the bridge, the name of President Muhammadu Buhari will be immortalized.
He called on the leaders of the South-East to come together and use diplomacy to get all they require from the country, adding that whatever diplomacy cannot get for them, war cannot get it for them.

Other prominent APC leaders in the zone who lent their voices to the commendation on President Buhari and the federal government for the progress of work on the second Niger Bridge, included; Minister of Science and Technology, Chief Ogbonnaya Onu, Minister of Mines and Solid Minerals, Chief Sampson Uche Ogah, APC leader in Anambra State, Senator Andy Uba, Minister of State for Education, Barr. Emeka Nwajiuba, former governor of Imo State, Sir Ikedi Ohakim.
Others were; Deputy Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, Amara Iwuanyanwu, former zonal Chairman of APC, Emma Eneukwu, President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, Prof George Obiozor, former president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Dr. Gary Igariwe, among others.

Earlier while receiving the leaders, the federal controller of works, Anambra State, Engr. Ajani informed them that the bridge is about 47km. He said the first phase which has reached 55 percent completion is about 11km.
Ajani added that the project has engaged up to 20, 000 workers, mostly from the South-East and South-South regions.
