All is set for the indefinite suspension of factional All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman in Imo State, Chief Dan Nwafor. Insider’s account notes that the national leadership of APC in Abuja is uncomfortable with Nwafor’s role in the recent troubles the APC has been encountering in the state.
According to the usually reliable source, “from all indications, Nwafor has played into the hands of the APC national leadership in Abuja and he is now facing an indefinite suspension music which may certainly lead to sack.
It would be recalled that the APC national office in Abuja advised all its members to withdraw all cases in court and submit for reconciliation. Nwafor and his group have yet to do this. Rather, their actions have been interpreted in a way that shows they are displaying insubordination to the national body.
Nwafor is insisting that he represents the authentic APC chairman having been so pronounced by the court. Meanwhile, Barr. Marcon Nlemigbo has been playing the role of the state chairman and is recognized by the national secretariat.
