Anambra state government has made provision for employment of more civil servants into the state civil service in 2021 fiscal year.

The State Head of Service, Barrister Harry Udu says Governor Willie Obiano made this known during his interaction with the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation on 2021 Appropriation bill at Legislative Complex in Awka during the weekend.

Barrister Udu however stated that the recruitment of more civil servants into the state workforce will strengthen the system.

The Head of Service also urged the committee to increase the capacity building vote of civil servants as it will enable his office to train young civil servants for optimum performance, adding that there will be promotion of qualified civil servants next year as Governor Obiano who has made provision for that.

Meanwhile, the Managing Director, Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, Venerable Amaechi Okwuosa informed the Committee that the Agency is committed to building a cosmopolitan city within the capital territory with excellent infrastructure in 2021 fiscal year to serve as a preferred investment destination in Africa.

Venerable Okwuosa maintained that this goal when accomplished will turn the capital territory into a modern village that will be second to none.
Dr. Pete Ibidaa, a member of the committee commended, Sir Willie Nwokoye for building a harmonious working relationship between the House and Governor Willie Obiano which has accelerated development of Anambra State.
