Anambra State Government led by Governor Willie Obiano, at the weekend, in Awka received a special force of the Nigerian Army.
News Echo reports that while receiving the Special Forces in Awka, Governor Obiano charged them to restore peace and help fish out hoodlums in the state.
He also tasked them to deploy their professionalism within the duration of their stay in the state.
While assuring them of his support in terms of logistics, the governor urged them to work with other security agencies, expressing optimism that the impact of their presence will be felt in no distant time.
The soldiers, who were mainly females, demonstrated their agility and high morale.
Meanwhile, Kenechukwu Onyekwuluje, a private security guard in the state said the invitation of soldiers by the governor is a welcomed development, as it will deter some miscreants who are willing to take advantage of the security situation in the state.
