The concerned members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who are aggrieved by the impunity that is playing out in the party currently, yesterday protested at the Anambra state House of Assembly.
According to the group led by Barr. Uchem Obi, he said that the protest was to pronounce a vote of confidence on the Judiciary and encourage it to discharge its duties according to the dictates of the law.
The group with varying placards represented the voice of the people with what Peter Obi and his cohort are trying to do in PDP as alleged by the leader Barr Obi.
“Peter Obi is trying to drag PDP down in the same way they dragged APGA down. We are wondering and surprised that a man who got his mandate back from the court severally and the man who was impeached and he overturned the impeachment with the aid of the court could be involved in this”.
“Someone who the judiciary has stood by and destroyed every manner of impunity against him can now turn around to belittle the court, ridicule the court and mock the judiciary”.
“This is the worst form of rascality. And this people here are saying it’s enough. Peter Obi will not be allowed to destroy PDP, the same way he destroyed APGA”.
“If not Peter Obi Atiku wouldn’t have lost election. He is a bad market to sell and he is building this impunity in PDP and all we are asking him is to steer clear. We are asking him to allow the judges to work”.
They decided to use what they called super delegate while the real delegate of the PDP where at St. Paul’s where they elected Mr. Ugochukwu Uba.
He noted that Justice Nwabunike as a judge has made an order and not because he was bought as alleged by some people but because he has a discretionary power.
Allow the man to do his job, if you are not allowed, you have a higher court for you to go than to lampoon him.
Recall that a group under the aegis of Independent Leadership Forum (ILF) on Monday accused the Judge handling the PDP matter at Anambra High Court of pandering to the whims of some stakeholders.
