The Action Alliance (AA), has elected a female legal luminary, Mrs. Doreen Ifeoma Maduka-Arisa as its governorship candidate for the Anambra state November 6 governorship election.
The party’s primary which took place on thursday at the Mich Royal hotel, Awka saw Barr. Maduka-Arisa emerged as the sole candidate of the party with an affirmative voice votes of over five hundred delegates who were present.
National Chairman of the Party, Hon. Adekunle Rufai Omoaja said that the reason why indigenes and non- indigenes should vote for Action Alliance party is because of the party’s manifesto, adding that the party believes in the masses which portrays her motto: “let the masses live”.
According to him, “we know what the masses are facing and so we elected a credible, intelligent, straightforward and faithful person like Barrister Maduka-Arisa.
He noted that Anambra is in a safe hands, especially that the insecurity will be addressed because as a mother she knows where to dialogue”.
“We chose her because as a very successful lawyer and business woman, she has made so much impact in the lives of individuals. “We chose her not for what she will gain but what she will do for the poor masses in Anambra state”.
Barr. Doreen Ifeoma Maduka-Arisa, speaking shortly after her emergence, promised to ensure total transformation of Anambra state with her ten point agenda in areas of women, health care, youth empowerment, agriculture, education, infrastructure, tourism, technology, digital economy, religious tolerance, social welfare and others.
“To develop Anambra state, I need your support. We should all come together to make it happen,” she added.
“This is our time to develop our great state where all will have the freedom and opportunity to thrive immeasurably in our various endeavours. This is our chance to lift our state to an enviable height, stressing that all hands must be on deck to make it happen.
Some of the party faithful and stakeholders who graced the primary election expressed happines over the successful emergence of their choice of candidate.
