Apostle Mrs. Precious Ebele has emerged the Anambra state parallel governorship candidate of the People Redemption Party (PRP) for the November 6th election.
The lady Apostle emerged the candidate of the party at primary election held at Mich Royal hotel Awka on Thursday.
Speaking shortly after the election, the party national interim secretary, Hon. Godwin Onyekachi Kalu said though, there is faction in the party, he noted that the other group is not recognised.
“The only recognised faction is that of the Alhaji Balarabe Musa that became Prof Sule Bello group which is very popular and that is why we are here. Today the election has been conducted in a most peaceful way and we are optimistic and hopeful that come November 6, we will take over the mantle of leadership in the state,” he said.
He further stated that the party had taken serious measures to elect a credible candidate who has the fear of God to deliver good governance to people of Anambra state.
Kalu also called on party faithful to take a bold step and canvass widely at the wards and local government areas to galvanize maximum support from the people for the party’s candidate.
Speaking at the event, Lady Apostle Precious noted that her aspirations and interest were a divine call by God to lead Anambra state to the promise land.
She posited that her motivation to vie for the position of governorship election in Anambra state was as a result of divine mandate from God to tackle the issue of insecurity, job creation for the youths and sustainable economic development among others.
News Echo reports that the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) and other party stakeholders from the national body as well as party faithful graced the primary election.
