The Anambra State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has announced its readiness to partner other state commands to ensure that trafficking drugs to other states through Anambra is nipped in the bud.
The Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr. Charles Odigie disclosed this to newsmen in Awka, on Saturday.

According to Odigie, this will help the agency stop the horrible situation, where some traffickers use the state as transit point for drugs to different parts of northern Nigeria.

Odigie, who regretted that despite the efforts already made by the command to curtail drug trafficking in the state, drug peddlers have continued to device new means to move illicit drugs through the state.
He however, called on community leaders to strengthen partnership with the NDLEA as community participation will be the only strategy to address the menace of drug abuse in communities.
