Anambra State Government has launched a new online resource portal for professionals in the building profession with the aim of providing new guidance on the requirements for submitting building plans to the state.

Anambra State Physical Planning Board, ANSPPB, responsible for regulating development in the state, created the online portal.
The portal provides guidance on all matters relating to preparing building plan applications, submitting same, as well as guidance on how to complete the required forms and documents.

Speaking, the Executive Chairman of the Board, Barrister Chike Maduekwe pointed out that the portal launch further goes to improve the rating of the state in terms of ease of doing business.

Maduekwe explained that the new portal seeks to among other things, respond to industry needs, keep all informed of current trends, new regulations and requirements, provide a reference library of searchable content, and create a platform for ongoing dialogue between the department and professionals.

He said that some submissions were delayed either because vital information had been omitted, or because the application did not comply with the requirements of the building codes.

The Managing Director, Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, ACTDA, Venerable Amaechi Okwuosa, who said that they have good synergy with ANSPPB, noted that ACTDA was created for better execution of work.
Venerable Okwuosa stated that their activities cover about 24 towns, adding that with the successful launch, developers can now visit www.ansppb.an.gov.ng for vital information.
