Twonew commissioners, Chief Tony Nwanmuo and Chief Godswill Nwonoruo will be sworn-in on Wednesday in Abia State by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
The new appointees are to replace Barr Ekele Nwaohanmuo, ex-commissioner for transport and late Dr Solomon Ogunji, the former Commissioner for environment.
The Governor will also swear-in Barr Eze Chikamnayo as the Transition Committee Chairman of Umunneochi LGA.
Chikamnayo is to replace the former chairman of Umunneochi, Chief Matthew Ibe who was also sacked by the governor in first week of August, for some undisclosed reasons.
A release made available to newsmen in Umuahia on Tuesday says the swearing-in ceremony will be performed by Governor Ikpeazu at executive chambers of the government house Umuahia, at1pm, with a total observance of all Covid-19 protocols.
Chikamnayo’s name was in August, 2020 rejected by the Abia State House of Assembly when hesubmitted himself for screening.
But Governor Ikpeazu returned his name to the house for the second time before he was eventually cleared.
Dr Solomon Ogunji, a former close ally of Ikpeazu, died on May 23, 2020 after a one-day sickness and his office has remained.
