47 year – old man in police net for killing two children, mother at Nnewi

It’s sunset at dawn as the life of two children were cut short by their own biological father.
The suspect also slaughtered his own eighty five years old mother before being apprehended by the Anambra Police operatives attached to Nnewi Division.

News Echo Correspondent gathered that the suspect, one Emeka Ezimadu aged forty-seven-years, of Okpuneze Uruagu in Nnewi North Local Government Area, on Friday suddenly went berserk and matcheted two of his biological children named; Ifechukwu Ezimadu, aged nine, Mmeso Ezimadu, aged two and his own mother Agnes Ezimadu.

A release by the Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Police Command, SP Haruna Mohammed read thus, “the suspect allegedly ran amok in circumstances yet to be ascertained, attacked and killed two of his biological children namely; Ifechukwu Ezimadu aged nine years, Mmeso Ezimadu aged two years and his own mother one

Agnes Ezimadu aged eighty-five years of same address, allegedly with a cutlass while they were sleeping”.
The release stated that the suspect equally used same offensive weapon and injured his three other children, names; Nonso Ezimadu, aged twelve, Chinaemerem Ezimadu aged eleven and Ngozi Ezimadu aged eight of same address.

However, police detectives visited the scene and rushed victims to the Akwudo hospital for medical attention where the two children and the aged mother were certified dead by a medical doctor while the three other children are receiving treatment. Corpses of the dead were said to have been deposited at the hospital morgue for autopsy as the case has been transferred to State CID Awka for discreet investigation.
