40th marriage anniversary celebration: Deputy speaker’s media aide eulogized

The media aide to Rt Hon Amarachi Iwuanyanwu, deputy speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, Ifeanyi Ndukwe has been eulogized for celebrating his parents, Mr Daniel and Mrs Chika Ndukwe, on their 40th marriage anniversary celebration.

A renowned stakeholder from Okigwe Zone, Prince Johnson Onyinye, gave the commendation on the occasion of the 40th marriage anniversary celebration, held at Ndukwe’s home town, Okohia, Isiala Mbano local government area of Imo State, Sunday, October 18.

The celebration attracted friends, well wishers, sons and daughters of the area, dignitaries from far and near, who graced the occasion which was a huge success.

Prince Johnson, who described the occasion as a welcome development and a step in the right direction, eulogized Ifeanyi Ndukwe on the bold step he took in making his parents proud as he identified him as his very good friend and a jolly fellow, a well known journalist, who he added knows his onions and enjoined him to continue the good work which he said was quite emulating.

Expressing gratitude to God, Mrs Chika Ndukwe, said that her joy knew no bounds, as she was full of smiles on the joyous occasion, appreciating her son for celebrating them in their lifetime and prayed that the Almighty God will bless him abundantly, and that his own children will celebrate him as well.

Speaking to journalists after the occasion, Ifeanyi Ndukwe, an Owerri based journalist, maintained that it has been his heart desire to celebrate his parents while they are alive.

Ifeanyi Ndukwe, who is the last child of his parents, stated that he chose to celebrate his parents because they meant everything to him, adding that no matter what he does for them, it can never equate to what they did for him and his siblings, as he described his mother as a loving and caring woman and appreciated his father’s selfless effort and the discipline he instilled in them which he said contributed to their success, praying God to give them good health and long life.
