2023 presidency: IPSC insists on total equity, justice

A pressure group under the aegies of Igbo for Presidency Solidarity Group has called on all citizens for support to ensure a peaceful one United Nigeria, with a president of Igbo extraction come 2023.

The group whose objective is to sensitize, mobilise, galvanize support and advocate for a Nigerian President of South-east extraction by 2023, also demanded for fairness among all.

IPSC made this call through an address presented by the Enugu State chairman, Hon Chinedum Ukwu at the 3rd South-east zonal meeting held during the weekend, Sunday, Oct 18.

According to the chairman, “the project of actualizing Igbo presidency come 2023 of is entirely our project, but we cannot do it alone. We need the cooperation of other zones in Nigeria even foreign nations to make this dreams come through”.

“this is the time to forgive ourselves, forgive our Igbo brothers and forgive other zones, that in one way or the other offended us. This is not the time for hate speech, destructive criticism and keeping malice. This is the time to even embrace our enemies with the sole objective of achieving our desires.

Also speaking, the Southeast zonal chairman of the group, Dr Patrick Enuneku, disclosed that it is time for the federal government to compensate the south east region by standing in Justice and fairness to all.

Adding, the zonal deputy chairperson, Rev Dr Mrs Helen James, reiterated that since inception of Nigeria, the Northern and Southern parts of the three geographical regions have gotten their fair share of leadership, except the eastern parts. She urged all citizens to vote massively for an Igbo President in the coming election, so as to give the eastern region their own fair share for greater development of the country.

Highlight of the occasion were issuing of certificates of honor to the five eastern state chairmen and the inauguration of two major zonal committees which are; planning, strategy & finance committee and the contact, mobilisation &media committee that will propel the modus operandi of the group.
