Two unidentified persons, driver and passenger, were yesterday, involved in a lone crash accident which occurred at the Frankguily Fuel Station along Ihiala-Owerri road, Anambra State
According to an eye witness, the Mazda Bus with registration number: ABJ 641 XV suddenly ran out of control and rammed into the fuel station.
The victims where said to have received various degrees of injuries and were rushed to Vera Clinic Ihiala through the help of officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
A statement from the FRSC Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Command, Mr. Kamal Musa said the incident happened at about 7:30AM.
“According to eyewitnesses, a total of two male adults who were involved, sustained varying degrees of injuries and were rushed to Vera Clinic Ihiala by FRSC rescue team from Ihiala Unit Command for medical attention while obstruction is being cleared to ensure free flow of traffic. Hence, no life was lost”.
Howeved, the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Anambra State, Andrew A. Kumapayi wishes the injured victims quick recovery and warns motorists to desist from excessive speeding and abide by speed limits set by law to prevent avoidable road traffic crashes in this Yuletide season”, the statement reads.
