The Special Adviser to Imo State Governor on Special Citizens, Dr Emehibe Samuelson, says physically challenged persons have been richly empowered by the Shared Prosperity administration of Senator Hope Uzodimma.
Emehibe disclosed this during an interview with our reporter, in his office, in Owerri, on Monday.
The S A noted that many youths, especially people with disabilities, have been appointed by the governor into key positions of government, a feat he said has never been done by successive administrations in Imo State.
He posited that the governor has appointed twenty seven disabled persons as Special Advisers (overseeing Bureau of Special Citizens), Senior Special Assistant (as State Advisory Board) in the person of Bright Uzoma and also appointed twenty seven Special Assistants across the twenty seven local government areas of the state.
Emehibe further posited that the governor has integrated youths fully into political participation in the state, saying he did all these for the physically challenged persons because he knows quite well that there is ability in disabilities”.
He added that the governor has made a lot of positive marks on youths and disabled persons because he loves them so much as he loves the state, hence the social and economic empowerment. He reiterated that the governor was really working, having touched all segments of the state with quality roads and the confirmation of
casual workers.
