But the Court on Thursday, vacated the earlier order stopping the elections and said that the polls could go ahead, according to s press release by the Attorney-general and Commissioner for justice of Abia State, Chief Uche Ihediwa.

The Court, according to the Attorney-general also ordered ABSIEC to make available relevant forms to political parties to contest the LG polls without charging any unrefundable deposit.

The Court according to the release by the A-G, also ruled that no candidate of the political parties should be barred from participating in the electoral process, while equally ordering the All Progressive Congress (APC) to enter into undertaking as the damaging up to the maximum of the sum received by ABSIEC from APC candidates.

The ruling by the Court now throws the ring open for the December 18 contest, even as Governor Okezie Ikpeazu had during PDP campaign flag-off expressed confidence that his party, PDP would achieve victory based on his achievements so far.
