A US-based Medical Doctor, Chima Oleru, has charged citizens of Imo State to ensure that they go for regular medical check-ups to stay healthy in the face of COVID-19.
Speaking after the official commissioning of Medical City Hospital at Hill Top beside Road Safety Junction, Egbu, Owerri North, Oleru noted that the hospital was one of the best in the state and beyond with about sixty five experienced staff employed to work there.

Oleru, who is the founder and medical director of the hospital said that the hospital could be measured with international standard with the United States facilities, having qualified doctors, experts in various fields of medicine with nurses being registered in tune with professional standards in order to render adequate medical service to the people.

He maintained that he has rendered humanitarian service to his people through free medical care/treatment, award of scholarship to students and youths among others for ten years.
Oleru stated that the hospital has “an accident and emergency room, general medicine and surgery, maternity unit, laboratory service that produces results within 1hour having obstetrics and gynecology, paediatrics, kidney treatment centre, dialysis centre, eye clinic, neurosurgery/neurology” among others.

The ceremony witnessed the presence of Anglican Bishop of Egbu Diocese, Most Rev Dr Geoffrey Enyinnaya Okoroafor, who commissioned the hospital, former governor of Imo State, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, HRH, Eze Michelle Uchenna Egbukole (the Ochoromma VI of Egbu Ancient Kingdom) community, Special Adviser to the Governor on Health, Dr. Mrs. Okereke Macillina.
