The member representing Isiala Mbano/Onuimo/Okigwe Federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Princess Miriam Onuoha has given free health care services to her constituents to boost their health.
The lawmaker, who flagged off the free medical healthcare service for her constituents held at Okwele Health Center, Onuimo, last Friday, told media professionals that she was motivated to give free medical treatment to her people in order to help improve their health status, as good health attracts wealth and comfort.
She explained that the medical exercise was as a result of an experience she had when she was growing up, as well as in fulfillment of her campaign promises to the people, saying the 326 units of Okigwe North benefited from the free medical treatment. She expressed gladness on the success of the exercise.
Onuoha added that the three days medical outreach also featured door to door free medical checkups, assuring that she would be giving out foodstuffs, drugs, mosquito nets, forms/blankets, among others in the months to come.
On her achievements so far, Onuoha noted that she has trained and empowered many people in agriculture, nutritional supplement, built classroom blocks and public toilet facilities at Orie Amaraku, built cassava processing mill, sponsored students in JAMB examination, initiated numerous bills that will benefit the people among others.
She thanked Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, for his support, just as she appreciated her people for the confidence reposed in her despite party affiliations, urging them to continue to support the shared prosperity administration to deliver democratic dividend to the state for even development.
Some of the beneficiaries: Leonard Emeto and Ignatius Ebirem, expressed gratitude to Princess Miriam Onuoha for remembering them through the medical treatment, describing the gesture as wonderful and first of its kind in the history of the constituency.
Earlier, Governor Hope Uzodimma, who was represented by Commissioner of Health, Hon. Batholomew Okorochukwu, expressed satisfaction over the achievements of the lawmaker.
