A humanitarian organisation under the auspices of Tropical Gate Foundation for Sustainable Development in collaboration with Salvation Army Amesi, has offered a three days free medical outreach programmes for residents of Aguata local government areas and neighbouring communities in Anambra state.
News Echo reports that general body diagnosis and especially eyes check-up and treatments were offered to over two thousands persons beginning from 16th to 18th at the salvation Army Amesi, with the theme; By His stripes you are healed, Isaiah 53 vs 5.
Different ailing persons mostly elders from Amesi, Uga, Umunze, Isuofia, Igbo-ukwu, Umuchu, Akpo, Ekwulobia, Nkpolo, and Akokwa in Imo state were present to recieve the free treatment and collection of drugs and eye glasses, with doctors and nurses at their disposal.
Speaking, the Chairman and founder of Tropical Gate Foundation, a maritime consultant and Apostolic minister, Apostle Nnamdi Mbaigbo, said, his inspiration for embarking on the medical outreach for the rural populace started in 2015 when he had a divine encounter that looks like out of body experience and “the our Lord appeared to me and shared with me Joel.2.15 – Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly: Joel.2.16 – Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet”
“Tropical Gate Foundation for Sustainable Development by His grace has come to stay, we will continue to position ourselves towards strategic United Nations Development Goals, ensuring that we drive them as non for profit to the grassroots as we know that 17 points agenda for Sustainable Development Goals we at foundation for now are playing at No 3 which is Good Health and well being and No 4 Quality Education.
“We also hope to keep improving on the existing services. We are also open to partnerships and collaboration by governments other NGOs and spirited individuals especially that the harvest is ripe but the labourer are few”.
Also speaking, Program mobilizer, Mr. Mbaigbo Victor Obumnaeme, said the programme is geared towards improving the medical and social lives of the people. “our vision and mission is to touch the lives of people and to exercise the message of our Lord Jesus Christ. He hinted that alot of people have already benefited from the programme through healing and we give thanks to God Almighty”
Meanwhile, Maduwuike Kenneth, from Umuchu, who was diagnosed of cataract, Mrs. Offorkansi Ogochukwu including 80 years old Pa Chijioke Okoye from Amasi expressed profound gratitude to God for the privilege of being beneficiaries of the outreach while calling on God for continued blessing of the organisers.
