… Otti Celebrates Peter Obi on 62nd Birthday
The Presidential candidate of the Labour

candidate, Mr. Peter Obi has commiserated with the Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang over the grumesome murder of over 300 innocent citizens in the State by bandits. This visit show his sympathy as a way to mark his 62nd birthday.

Peter Obi said “In line with my earlier humble request for friends and well-wishers to spread the love today by visiting hospitals, schools and care homes to mark my 62nd birthday, I visited Plateau State to commiserate with the Governor and the people over the recent widespread unfortunate killings in the State, which are unacceptable.

“I visited Mangu Local Govt. Area, where over 300 people, including women and children, have been killed.

I commiserated and condoled with them over the several attacks on them and the killings of their loved ones.
“I was at Bungha Pilot School in Mangu, which is the biggest IDP Camp in the State, occupied by about 60 communities. I made token support of N5 million with some bags of rice and also reassured them of our love and care.

I equally explained to them that we are all in this together and that as long as we have some Nigerians living in IDP Camps, every Nigerian is living in IDP Camp.

“I appreciated the Governor of Plateau State, HE Barr @CalebMutfwang, for his warm reception and kind comments. I thanked him, especially for the great efforts he has made so far concerning the killings and terror attacks in the State, and for ensuring that the IDPs are well cared for. I commiserated with him over the killings in the State and encouraged him to continue to deliver good governance to the people.

“I also thanked the traditional ruler Mishkaham Mwaghavul, HRH John Putmang Hirse, for the hospitality, and assured the Mangu people that in the New Nigeria, their security and that of every Nigerian will be prioritized. –PO
In a similar vein, the flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 25, 2023 presidential poll, Atiku Abubakar, has described his Labour Party (LP) counterpart, Peter Obi, as a “respectable leader”.

Atiku, an ex-Vice President made this known on Wednesday via his Twitter handle while congratulating Obi who turned 62.

Obi was Atiku’s running mate in the 2019 presidential election and the two were political allies before Obi moved to the Labour Party in the build-up to this year’s election.

Atiku, in his birthday message to Obi, a former Anambra State governor, commended his dedication to growth and service.

“A respected leader and distinguished former governor of Anambra state and presidential candidate of the Labour Party.

“Your dedication to service and growth continues to inspire. As you add another year today, I, on behalf of my family and team wish you many more years in good health and vitality,” Atiku wrote.

Happy 62nd birthday to my brother, Mr Peter Obi CON
On behalf of my family and the entire people of Abia State, I wish my brother and friend, presidential candidate of the Labor Party, and former Governor of Anambra State, an indelible 62nd birthday celebration.

My sincere prayer is that you enjoy many more years of good health, happiness, and prosperity.

Earlier, Obi said that he will maintain his decision not to celebrate his birthdays in the light of the dire state of the nation.

The LP presidential candidate in a statement shared on his Twitter page on Monday, said despite pressure from his supporters, including members of the Obedient Family and Labour Party, to celebrate, he urged them to redirect their efforts towards helping those in need.

Rather than presenting him with gifts, Obi encouraged his well-wishers to extend their generosity to hospitals, orphanages, homes for the disabled and elderly.

By making such donations, he emphasized the importance of supporting the vulnerable and marginalized members of society.

Wednesday 19th July 2023, marks my 62nd Birthday. While I remain immensely grateful to God for His infinite mercies, I still maintain my decision of over 20 years, that I will not celebrate my birthdays in today’s Nigeria, with the current deplorable state of the nation.
