Certainly, Rev. Fr Ejike Mbaka, widely referred to in some quarters as a fiery Catholic Priest is popularly known for his Adoration Ministries Enugu, Nigeria (AMEN). He is a very strong man of God known very well for his; prophetic prowess, healing, deliverance and prophetic declarations that is believed to have changed millions and billions of lives for good.
Being a Catholic Priest, there was never much doubt about the authenticity or source of his spiritual power.
Mbaka is a multi talented catholic priest who, not only reach hundreds of thousands faithful who throng his adoration ground on weekly basis, but also reaches millions and billions of people across the globe with his songs that are Holy ghost filled and can wroth signs and wonders in the lives of those who passionately listen to it and accept the wordings with faith.
He has composed, recorded and produced hundreds of albums. I wonder any musician across the globe that has more frequency in album production and number of produced musical works than Mbaka. Also he produces hundreds of his ministrations and messages, both in audio and videos, which are marketed across the globe.
Though a Catholic priest who is not given to ostentatious living, Mbaka should be among the richest men of God in Nigeria if his assets are to be made personal, he should be able to fly any private jet of his choice and as many as he may wish. He does not depend on proceeds from offerings, tithes, seeds or donations alone, he has shown a high degree of industry, which has seen him establish many companies and industries that includes; Audio recording and production studios, videos recording, editing and production studios, sachet water production company, plastic water production company and yourghourt production company. Others include; olive oil, soft drink production company, road and other construction companies, among others.
It is also a known fact that bulk of the money made by the adoration ministry is channeled to charity and philanthropy. The prayer ministry has numerous destitute and orphanage children under its care. It also has a scholarship scheme through which it is training a quite number of students in schools, up to the tertiary institutions.
Mbaka is widely accepted among Catholics and other Christian faithful, for his; Oratory, in-depth knowledge of the word of God, outspokenness, bravery, healing and deliverance powers, accurate prophecies/predictions and above all for being one of the few voices who advocate for the masses and tell government the hard truth, in an effort to hold it accountable to the masses.
In the area of prophecy, Mbaka’s prophecy is always to be reckoned with. Most of his prophecies/predictions have come to reality. They include; the prophecy about President Muhammadu Buhari winning the 2015 presidential election against then incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan, which he also repeated for the 2019 presidential election. Also the prophecy about Hope Uzodimma winning the incumbent Emeka Ihedioha in the Supreme Court, to take over as the governor of Imo State, among others.
Meanwhile coming to the main gist of this piece, prophecies about politicians and putting himself into the prophecies is threatening to ruin this glorious ministerial work of the adoration minister. He has become the most controversial man of God in Nigeria, with many now seeing him as a man who speaks from the both sides of his mouth. He is now facing a lot of controversies and criticisms which qualifies him as the man in the news for this edition of your darling News Echo.
When in 2015, Mbaka prophesied the defeat of Jonathan, hail was let loose and he got a lot of backlash from supporters of Jonathan, especially among the people of South East and South – South zones. He was however praised to the high heavens by APC faithful who defended him and declared him a real prophet of this generation. Same thing also repeated in 2015.
What bothers discerning Nigerians, especially lovers and admirers of Mbaka, is the fact that he puts himself into the prophecy. They reason that there may be nothing wrong for a prophet to disclose what God revealed to him, without adding his own. In the case of Mbaka he has been seen to be adding things that are supposedly his own though, feelings and biases into the prophecies.
For instance, apart from delivering the prophecy and declaring that God told him that Jonathan would not win reelection, giving the illustration of the pidgin that flew and the one that refused to fly, he went ahead to cast aspersions on President Jonathan and his government. He said Jonathan had turned bad luck to Nigerians and said all sorts of things against his administration and rallied Nigerians to vote him out during the election and vote in the “messiah”, Muhammadu Buhari. He praised Buhari to the high heavens and declared that he was coming to turn the country to Eldorado.
He also made the same mistake in the Uzodimma prediction when he called Ihedioha names – actually not a part of the prophecies revealed to him by God.
What makes this dearly as well as deadly beloved and hated fiery priest and spiritual inspiration back in the news is his sudden 360 degrees U turn against almost all his earlier positions. Mbaka has now remembered the recorded bad administrative performance of Buhari and has urged him to resign, failure of which he has tasked the national assembly to impeach him, with a warning that if they failed to impeach him, something worst than what they may expect would befall them.
He has also told the world how Uzodimma has refused to pick his calls, declaring him as a total failure who has rather visited Imo State with bad governance, poverty and turned the once most peaceful state in the federation to a theatre of blood.
Also Fr. Mbaka, in a clear case of dancing to the ovation, has turned round to praise Nnamdi Kanu, whom he once dismissed with a wave of the hand.
Mbaka was quoted as saying, “May God bless Nnamdi Kanu wherever he is. I salute his courage to rise up to speak against the marginalization of his people. I am praying for him”. He also condemned the killing of an ESN commander, Ikonso Don, saying to the Nigerian military forces, “You went and killed Ikonso and were parading his body as if you have won a war. Why not go and kill poverty”.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has threatened to report Mbaka to the supreme head of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis, for what the party leadership regarded as his inciting and unguarded utterances. The presidency (a compound name giving to the authorities at the central leadership of Nigeria) has not only cast aspersions on adoration priest, but has released what it regard as a damning secret against him.
It said Mbaka is turning against Buhari because he (Mbaka) failed to secure the contract he requested from the government of Buhari.
Also a human rights activist, Mr Chidi Moses submitted that Mbaka should be ignored. He said, “Mbaka’s new address would not be viewed on a serious note. Remember he told Nigerians that Buhari is the Messiah we need and that he saw hope in Imo State. Now where is the Messiah and where is the hope for Imo State”, Mr Moses queried.
However it is now time for the other side to celebrate and rise in the defense of Fr Mbaka over the prophecy. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has come out to chide the APC over its threat to report Mbaka to Pope Francis. Nnamdi Kanu has also warned Nigerian authorities to stop threatening Fr. Mbaka over his prophecies and assertions.
