Regent of Oba, Prince Noel Ezenwa, Igwe Dr. Emeka Onuorah of Oraukwu and others have felicitated with the Archdeacon of Oba Anglican Archdeaconry, Venerable Dr. Dave Udo-Ezika as he marks 25 years of priesthood.
The tripartite celebration of Birthday, Doctorate Degree (Ph.D) thanksgiving and 25th year in the ministry held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church,Oba in Idemili South, Anambra State.
Oba Regent who was ably represented by Chief Dr. Felix Uzor, Ichie Enyi II of Oba said that the achievements of the celebrator were outstanding which attracted almost all cabinet members in town and numerous dignitaries.
“There has been a long affinity between Oraukwu, the hometown of Ven. Udo-Ezika and Oba. The pioneer principal of Oraukwu Grammar school, Late Hezekiah Chiwuzie was from Oba and Archdeacon has proved himself repeating Chiwuzie’s exploits,” said Ezenwa.
In his remarks, Igwe Onuorah said that he was present with some cabinet members to support their illustrious son who has represented their community and God well saying that Oraukwu and Oba are now brothers.
Moreover, the President, Men’s Christian Fellowship (MCF). Diocese on the Niger, Barrister Emeka Anyaenetu (KSC) described Udo-Ezika as an honest and transparent priest right from St Banarbbas Anglican Church, Omagba where the Archdeacon served previously.
“Udo-Ezika is a builder. He builds people spiritually and physically. Give him 10,000 naira for Synod, he will return half and while coming back he will buy gifts for people from the remaining half,” said Anyaenetu.
According to former Chairman, Gideon on the Niger, Barrister Chuba Oranusi(KSC) Ven Udo-Ezika is a blessing to Oba Archdeaconry and entire diocese. He has made a mark in academics and is still very humble.
Moreso, the Chairman MCF, Oba Archdeaconry, and Elder Okechukwu Nnaemeka said:”Ven. Udo-Ezika is unique. He gives you an assignment and allows you to do it. He cares about your family, business and we love him so much”.
Some dignitaries present who eulogized the celebrator include Chief Obi Ufondu, Ochiagha Oba, Chairperson, Patron and Patronesses, St Banarbbas Anglican Church, Omagba, Mrs Ngozi Onwuka, Sir Ogonna Udo-Ezika and Chief Dominic Arinze of Oraukwu.
In his vote of thanks, Ven Dr. Udo-Ezika who was grateful to all invitees and the planning Committee headed by Rev Zuby Okudo said that the celebration was only to give God all glory
