The 2020/ 2021 beauty pageant contest held in Imo State under the organization of SOP Imo State Zonal Kings and Queens International has ended with the emergence of 3 New Kings and 10 Queens in Imo State.
The event which was concluded by December last year at Be-Land Hotel Owerri saw 35 ladies and 12 male participants who displayed excellence in their cart walk, stage show among others.
At the end of the show, 10 ladies and 3 male made it to the grand final stage.
Among those who emerged as Queens include a 25year old HRM Nwaiwu Pamela- Queen of Imo ECOWAS, HRM Oforca Chimereogo Cynthia-Queen Imo, HRM Mbionwu Jennifer Ezinne- Queen of Owerri Zone International and HRH Agwasie Hapinness Oluchi-Queen of Imo Culture among 5 other ladies who won Queen of Imo Diaspora, Face of Indigenous Queen Tourism, Top Model under Indeginous Queen Imo.
In the male category, King Emeanaa Chukuemeka emerged King of Owerri Zone International along side two other King of Okigwe Zone International and King of Orlu International as the case may be.
Presenting certificate and cash prizes to the winners, the CEO of SOP Imo State Zonal Kings and Queens International Mr. Uju Nwogu -aka (Sempe) thanked the people who particepated in the event for their zeal shown in the competition.
He commended the winners for their resiliance while advising them as role models not to be the same for which they were know for before.
He charged them to live a new life worthy of emulation while urging them to use their current position to reach out to the needies in the society
On the challenges encountered during the preparation and time of the event, he regretted that apart from the support from the owners of Be- Land Hotel and other agencies, governorment never showed any concern.
He said that 35 ladies and 12 males enrolled in the contest which involved a lot of processes such as voting, cat-walk, stage performance among others and in the end 10 ladies and 3 male emerged winners.
In their separate reactions, the winners expressed joy for emerging champions and disclosed their willingness to concentrate on their pet projects aimed at reaching out to the people and larger society.
While Emeanaa Chukwuemeka who emerged as King of Owerri Zone International, promised to work on his WADA project Work Against Drug Abuse aimed at letting students know the danger and effect of drugs while parents should be educated on the need to watch over their children, HRM Agwasie Happiness Oluch who emerged as Queen Imo Culture said that her next step is to invest in her pet project assuring that the moment she get proposal from sponsors, she would start her work
HRN, Mbionwu Jennifer Ezinne- Queen Owerri Zone International advised her fellow girls out there to continue to work hard and keep to their dreams while HRH Queen Oforca Chimereogo Cynthia who emerged as Queen Imo and 24 year students of Imo State University acknowledged that she actually worked hard to emerge winner while assuring that whatever token she received, would be channel to torching many lives in Imo State.
