Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has appointed Dr Osita Igbe as the new Rector of Abia State College of health technology and management science, Aba.
Igbe replaced Dr Maduakolam Nwogwugwu, who was appointed a few days to March 18 guber polls.
A press release signed by Barr Chris, Secretary to Abia State government said the new appointment was with immediate effect
Igbe who is a lecturer with Abia State University, Uturu was also a former Commissioner for housing in the first term of Ikpeazu.

In reaction to the current development, some staff of the College expressed surprise that three different Rectors have headed the institution in a three-week period.
A labour union executive of the school who spoke to News Echo under anonymity for fear of victimisation said the frequency in appointments may further the school, especially at a time the incumbent government of Okezie Ikpeazu is leaving power.
