The state woman leader of Young Progressives Party (YPP), Amb. Chika Uju, has condemned the murder of a 5-year-old pupil of Noble Kids Nursery and Primary School Kawana Kano State, Hanifa Abubakar.
Regrettably, Hanifa Abubakar was kidnapped for ransom and heartlessly killed by her school proprietor, Abdulmalik Tanko, with a rat poison and buried her at a shallow grave in his school premises with the help of an accomplice. The suspect who is cooling off in police cell had confessed to killing and burying the 5-year-old school girl who did him no wrong.
Speaking in Owerri on Tuesday, the party described the act by the school proprietor as gruesome, saying the suspect should be punished by law to serve as deterrent to others with such a wicked thought.
She called on government to provide adequate security to all schools and churches in the country to reduce crime and insecurity, as well as restore sanity, while urging parents to always protect and care for their children.
