Rivers State Police Command has paraded over thirty people suspected to be involved in kidnapping, child theft, armed robbery, sea pirate and snuggling of arms in the state. The state commissioner of Police, Friday Eboka who briefed newsmen at the command headquarters said his men were able to effect the arrest based on intelligence reports.
CP Eboka said several items including arms and ammunition vehicles and trailer loaded with fertilizer, and one million naira cash were recovered from the suspected criminals. The Commissioner of Police also warned criminal causing sleepless nights to innocent citizens to relocate or be ready to face the full wroth of the law.
The state police boss further encouraged residents to have confidence on the police and assist with useful information. News Echo reports that six guns, eight ammunition, were recovered while seven kidnapped victims and one child who was sold were rescued during the operations.
