Popular TVC Journalist Babajide Kolade Otitujo has replied to Sheikh Gumi after he openly said that Fulanis are peaceful people and the attack on Owo should have been avoided if they were not pushed to the wall.

According to Sheikh Gumi, he sympathizes with the family of the victims, but if Fulanis are given what rightfully belongs to them such killings will be avoided.

It would be recalled that on Sunday, the St Francis Catholic Church was attacked by gunmen during service.

The gunmen were said to have detonated explosives before firing at the congregants, as many worshippers were killed in the attack, including children and women.

However, reacting to the ill-fated act of the Fulani herdsmen, Gumi bluntly noted that “no one knows where they would be heading next and if care is not taken or an agreement with these people is not reached, they may begin another attack that may not be palatable to the ears of anyone that hears it.”

Gumi, in his defensive remarks of blood thirsty Fulani extraction, maintained that “such attacks are not heard in the north because they are peaceful people and they allow Fulanis to carry out their cattle businesses in their place. Check out the video link here as Otitoju replied to Gumi’s words.

Otitoju noted that the killings of Owo Catholic Church members by those people who claimed to be Fulani men are politically sponsored, and the government is still relaxed because it has nothing to do with them since the killing was not done in the north. He noted that if a reprisal action is not taken people in the south would be forced to take up arms against the Fulani people.

We’re alive, nothing happened to me and my husband – Newly lady explains

Meanwhile, a lady in the viral picture of a couple who were said to have been killed during the bloody attack on the ‘Black Sunday’ has come out to debunk their rumoured death.

This is even as some social media users had claimed that a newly-wedded couple, simply identified as Kelvin and Blessing, were in the church for thanksgiving and killed by the gunmen.

“Those sharing my picture saying something happened to me and my husband, please nothing happened to us. It was after the thanksgiving at a church that I went home. Nothing happened to me and my husband,” she said.

Meanwhile, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, of Ondo has sworn to stop that his administration would stop at nothing in hunting down the perpetrators of the gory attack.
