Suspected gunmen on Saturday gunned down a father of three, identified as Mr. Emeke Ojere.
Ojere, who hails from Oyoko-Abavo in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State but resides at the PTI axis of Warri was said to have been gunned down in his car on Saturday at Ugbomro community in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta.
Witnesses say that the driver of the car, a G-LK Mercedes Benz, simply identified as Egbehon, told journalists that he was in the car with the deceased, whom he said taught him plumbing job and another occupant when the gunmen accosted them.
According to the driver, “We went to Ogbomro community to visit one of our townsmen but suddenly gunmen blocked us and asked us to lie down. Oga was shot before they left.”
Police Public Relations Officer for Delta State Command, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, confirmed the incident.
He said that the police have intensified efforts to arrest the fleeing suspects
