Unknown burglars, last Monday, February 8, burgled the corporate office of one of the local tabloids in the state, the Defender Express Newspapers.
The criminals were said to have broken into the office, at Egbeada Area of Mbaitoli LGA, Imo State, and carted away two (2) brand new laptops, some electronic gadgets and the internet supply machines of the Newspaper worth millions of Naira.
Speaking over the development, the newspaper editor, Mr. Dan Opara, said, “We were very surprise at the missing property of our news firm.”We were worried and disappointed at the level of insecurity obviously seen around Defender Newspaper’s premises and its environs”.
