Pandemonium has broken in Isuofia community, Aguata local government area as gunmen on wednesday disrupted an interactive session between Isuofia youths and a former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo at the civic centre and reportedly shot dead three of his aides.
News Echo authoritativly gathered that Professor Chukwuma Soludo, a gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) is said to be safe as at press time, although his whereabouts remain unknown
Source however, said three mobile policemen who were Prof. Soludo’s aides were killed on the spot by the gunmen, while the
Commissioner for Utilities Engineer Emeka Ezenwanne was taken away.
It could not be ascertained if the attack was politically motivated, or if it could be linked to past weeks’ actions that have seen gunmen attack and kill security personnel in Anambra state and other states in the South East.
However, no group has claimed responsibility for the horrific action been carried out in Isuofia community.
Efforts to reach the Police for reactions proved abortive as at time of filing this report.
