Cameroon-based businessman, Mr. Clement Uzoghelu has been abducted in Anambra State.
A source said the incident occurred along Amawbia-Enugwu-Agidi Igbariam road, Anambra East Local Government Area of the state on Monday.
It was gathered that Uzoghelu, a native of Nawgu community in Dunukofia Local Government Area of the state had returned to the state to spend the Christmas holiday and was coming back from a private visit when the abductors seized him.
It was further revealed that a middle-aged man, his wife and child were kidnapped along the same road few days ago.
Though, the wife and their little girl were later released when the baby became restless, the husband was held by the kidnappers for a ransom.
Also a lecturer with Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) was late last year abducted along same road.
According to a resident of the community, the man was abducted at the bad portion of the swampy road, the very spot where the couple and their child were kidnapped on December 23, 2020.
He said the road had turned to death trap following repeated abductions, adding that a priest had narrowly escaped when he sensed danger on the same road.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, Mohammed Haruna said he was yet to get the report.
