A human rights Group; Protect The Weak International Foundation has called for the arrest & prosecution of Mr Chinasa Nwaneri and his aide known as TAPEY who in company of some cultists allegedly working for the SA to the governor on special duties attacked and killed the youngman with dagger at Tetlow junction on Friday March 31st 2023.
The President of Protect The Weak International Foundation Mazi Chinonso Uba in a press release made available to newsmen in Owerri stated that the investigations carried out indicted Chinasa Nwaneri the governor’s SA on special duties under whose office a certain man known to be notorious and who goes by the name TAPEY, has continued to terrorise okada riders in Owerri especially at Aba Rd axis of the city and has always taken laws into his hands.
This TAPEY who was said to come from Abia but whose maternal home is Umuororonjo Owerri has been parading the streets of Owerri extorting Okada riders and dealing with those they feel are not dancing to their tune.
It was alleged that TAPEY makes over two hundred thousand naira per day from extorting Okada Riders in owerri,using Owerri Municipal as the storehouse of all seized okada.
The activities of TAPEY and his boys in Owerri are being covered and protected by those in power whom they give returns of their illegal extortions. They have turned themselves into terrorists and have succeed in beating okada riders into submission.
On Friday when TAPEY and his boys invaded Tetlow junction, they pounced on Late Ndubisi Ogbonda aged 27 from Ebonyi State but riding okada for a living in Owerri. These bloodsucking agents of the SA on Special duties used dagger on the young man tearing his flesh ftom his body and also stabbed a passenger who alighted from a bus Imo to stop them. This passenger we also learnt died at FMC OWERRI.
We at the Protect The Weak International Foundation is calling on the Imo state governor Hope Uzodimma to relieve Chinasa Nwaneri of his position with immediate effect to save his government from further opprobrium due to the shameful actions of this man since this government came to be.
Secondly we call upon the Commissioner of Police to immediately arrest and prosecute Chinasa Nwaneri and his boys for the alleged Killing of Ndubuisi Ogbonda.
We are giving the Police 48hrs to do the lawful or we shall approach the court.
We also demand for the immediate release of some Okada Riders who were arrested for protesting the killing of their colleague. They broke no law by protesting the gruesome Killing of their member when they carried a coffin to show their grief.

We frown at the continous intimidation of citizens by the officials of Imo State government. We frown at the reckless behaviour of officials of Imo State government and their insensitivity to the plight of the poor masses in the state.”
