Imo Ministry of Petroleum Resources gets new Commissioner

The Ministry of petroleum Resources Imo state has gotten a new commissioner to replace Rt. Hon Good luck Nana Opiah who recently was appointed as the Minister for state Education by president Muhammadu Buhari.

The new commissioner Prof. Eugene Opara was among the three commissioners recently sworn in by the Imo state governor Senator Hope Uzodimma.

The Hon. Commissioner while addressing the management and staff of the ministry on resumption of office, expressed his gratitude to God almighty and the Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma for finding him worthy to serve. He promised to bring his experience to bear while assuring them of a harmonious working relationship with the staff of the Ministry.

Prof. Opara, while inspecting the offices, reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring a conducive working environment for staff of the ministry.

The HOD Petroleum Upstream, Mr. Ifeanyi Onyicha, while receiving the Hon. Commissioner on behalf of the Permanent Secretary, assured him of the staff’s readiness to giving him the best co-operation.

Highlights of the event were the dedication of the office to God in prayers and presentation of the handover note.
