The PDP governorship candidate in the November 11 2023 election in Imo State, Senator Samuel Anyanwu (Samdaddy), has promised to end dictatorship, corruption, killing, bullying, harassment, unnecessary arrest and detention of innocent Imo citizens especially youths if he is elected governor.
Anyanwu made the promise when he addressed members of the PDP during official inauguration of SamJones 2023 Campaign Organization at the state party secretariat Owerri on Tuesday.
Anyanwu who told the members of the PDP to remain firm, committed and fearless in their quest to take back Imo State to alleviate poverty, suffering and insecurity in the state so that dignity, joy and confidence shall be fully restored therein.
Stating that he is sure of victory at the poll, Anyanwu said he fears nobody because he cannot be intimidated nor be cowed by the APC oligarchs who he accused of instilling penury, suffering, hardship and insecurity in Imo State, saying Douglas House is empty since 29th of May 2023, a seat of power he insist he is coming to fill.
According to the PDP gubernatorial candidate, “I see no body in Imo Douglas House. That place is empty since 29th May 2023.
I am ready to fill the vacuum there. I will cruise to victory in the November 11 2023 election to make our moribund local government areas, health centres, other infrastructures, ministries and civil service work effectively again. workers, teachers, journalists (media workers) and pensioners will have every cause to always laugh as the economy will astronomically boom again”.
Anyanwu said he is fully prepared and ready to govern the state with a view to restoring peace, security, confidence and dignity in the state. “I fear no body because no body can do me anything as I strive to redeem the people from bad governance.
Our youths will not be killed, framed up, arrested and detained by security operatives again. Armored tanks will disappear from the state. I want to bring power back to PDP and Imo people to stop poverty, suffering, unemployment, as well as restore confidence and joy. The end of every evil in Imo State will by the grace of God end on 11 November 2023. Destiny, Rescue Mission and other political structures are fully with us”.
While reaffirming his commitment to redeem Imo State and make life bearable for all persons, Anyanwu urged Imolites to give him and Jones their mandate in the forthcoming poll to enable them actualise their agenda for the people who he said they love and cherish so dearly.
Inaugurating the Campaign Organization earlier, the Imo State Chairman of PDP, Mr. Charles Ugwu, charged members to discharge their assignments dutifully and faithfully to achieve goal. He boasted that the victory of the PDP is 100% assured because the party is formidably committed to take back power from the APC which he accused of destroying democracy and Imo State.
