No fewer than thirty selected players have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the management of ABU Football Academy, led by its Chairman and Proprietor, Chief Abuchi Christopher Attah,

A delegation from the Anambra State Football Association (AnSFA), led by the Chairman, Mr Chikelue Iloenyosi, a former international footballer, graced the event held on Saturday, 2nd Sept, 2023 at the East-End Hotel, Awka, in a supervisory position.

The Academy Chairman, Chief Attah, while addressing the highly elated players stated that the academy is unique in the sense that it is free for the intakes and he has ensured that adequate facilities are set up to train them as promising young players to develop their skills and knowledge of the game.

Chief Attah who is a football coaching service provider, revealed that the academy’s prime concern is investing in their future as they have seen potential in the player to one day perhaps develop into a professional footballer.

The Chairman, Board of Trustees of ABU Foundation, SP Leela Vena Chuks, admonishes the players to take the signing very seriously and follow to the letter the terms of agreement as reached by them and the management. He assured them that the sky will be the beginning of their greatness.

Some of the parents who could not hide their excitements, thanked the management of the academy for their thoroughness, transparency, stating that this was the first academy that training kits are provided to their wards without demanding for a fee.

The players too were over the moon, as their excitements were visible during the signing session, stating it was a dream come true for them and their parents. They promise to abide by the terms of agreement that they are signatory too and be a good ambassador of the academy, on and off camp.

The highpoint of the occasion, was the signing of the Four Pages Memorandum of understanding, and the distribution of complete training kits to the players.
