Romeo Lavia is still expected to remain sidelined until late November at the earliest due to fresh injury setback, Daily Mail exclusively reports

Lavia has been sidelined with an ankle injury which he suffered in training last month.

The Belgian international was edging closer to being ready to make his Chelsea debut following his £58m summer move from Southampton at the time.

Unfortunately, that return has been delayed due to the injury blow in which he suffered some ligament damage.

While a November return is viewed as the optimistic timeline, Chelsea are treading cautiously which could push back Lavia’s involvement until early December.

Meanwhile, the Blues return to action against Arsenal on Saturday and are hopeful striker Nicolas Jackson will be available after withdrawing from international duty with Senegal to undergo wrist surgery.

France defender Axel Disasi and England under-21 winger Cole Palmer also dropped out of their international squads during the break due to thigh and dead leg issues respectively.

He was able to remove the protective boot he has been wearing to support his right ankle last week and begin doing some rehab work in the pool in positive developments as he attempts to regain full fitness.

Though it is still due to be some time yet before he is ready to be back out on the pitch and resume playing.

He advised the youths to emulate the good character of the community role models and embrace hard work and dignity of labour, instead of looking for ego mbute and Oke ite which does not lead them to anywhere but rather destroys their future. The Commissioner for Youth Development & Sports, Hon Patrick Agha Mba, represented by the Director of Youth, Mr Martins Ezeilo congratulates the role models as icons of hope for the future of the youths. He encouraged young people to remain focused and committed to productive ventures. “As a young person, learn a trade or acquire a skill that will distinguish you. I encourage our youths to take advantage of this opportunity by registering and acquiring valuable skills,” he said. In his opening remarks, the Chairman of the Occasion, Chief Chimezie Okoye (Mmilienweilo), charged the newly honoured role models to serve as ambassadors of good governance and community development, noting that many young people look up to them for inspiration. Addressing the gathering, the ASTUC Youth President, His Youthfulness, Comrade Ken Okoli, described the award recipients as individuals who embody the community shared values and represent beacons of hope for the future of Anambra State.
