The 14 Brigade Nigerian Army has informed farmers and other residents of Ohafia living around Ebele Goodluck Barracks Ohafia that there would be a two weeks range classification shooting at range site of the barracks. To this end, the Army has advised farmers and other members of the populace to stay away from the range site areas, as live ammunition would be fired during the range classification exercise.
This information was made available to newsmen by the Public Relations Officer of 14 Brigade Nigerian Army, Lieutenant Innocent Omale. According to the 14 Nigerian Army, the range classification shooting exercise which would last for two weeks, was in preparation by the 14 Brigade for the 82 Division Inter-Brigade Combat Proficiency Competition. The event, according to Lieutenant Innocent Omale started from July 22 and would end on August 5, 2022.
“The exercise will involve firing of live ammunition at range site. The exercise is to prepare contingents of 14 for the fourth coming shooting competition with other Brigade soon.” “In view of the above, you are please requested to disseminate this piece of information to the general public and enjoined them not to panic especially the communities around the barracks.” He advised all farmers, indigenes and other populace living within the site to stay away during the earmarked period of this shooting exercise.
