A Pastor of Apostolic Christian Church Mission (ACCM) Pastor Blessed Ifeanyi Green has absconded from duty in Aba, Abia State following some allegations that he solicited homosexual practice from a member of the church.
The Pastor who is serving at Omuma road headquarters of the church in the Enyimba city, has fled from the church to an unknown destination and has not been seen around the church or in the public, for about two weeks.
According to sources from the Church, he has also refused to appear before a panel which was set up by the leadership of his church to investigate all allegations leveled against him, by the member of the church concerning homosexual conducts. He was also said to have gone underground to evade the searchlight of security agencies where the matter was reported to.
Though efforts made by the correspondent to hear the Pastor ‘s side of the story have not been successful because of his continued absence, some residents of Aba have continued to claim that the Man of God had been exhibiting some weird characters recently, which according to them, included the use of bleaching cream and uncouth use of language.
The alleged use of bleaching creams, according to a resident of Omuma road, Mr Valentine Igwe, now make the Pastor appear very fair in complexion, away from his previous Ebony colour.
The gay practice allegations are coming a month after a Bishop of a pentecostal church in Aba, Bishop Timothy Otu was arrested by the Police after a female evangelist of his church was discovered dead in a hotel at Aba.
The female evangelist, Happiness Echieze who was a mother of five, was lodged in the hotel by the Pastor Otu who is now still being detained at State Criminal Investigation Department of the Abia State Police Command.
Before the Bishop Otu incident, a Pastor with Assemblies of God Church in Aba, Pastor Chukwuemeka Orji was three months ago nabbed for allegedly raping his under-aged house help.
Pastor Orji who hails Bende LGA of the State has so far been sacked by the Assemblies of God Church as confirmed by Rev Don Njoku, Aba District Superintendent of AG and is presently remanded in Nigeria Correctional Centre custody after a Margistrate Court in Aba rejected his plea for bail.
