An Anambra-based cleric and Spiritual Head of Soul Revival Outreach, Nnewi, Anambra State, Prophet Iyke Uzukwu has raised the alarm over what he described as “impending revolution” in the country.

The cleric in a homily before the congregation on Sunday noted that except the almighty God intervenes, there would be political earthquake in the Nigeria which would be spontaneous. He said that the revolution has been programmed to happen between April and December and the development would be like a volcanic eruption.

According to him, “We should pray for Nigeria, there is cloud of revolution hanging on the nation, it might come in a spontaneous political revolution or an outright sack of democracy by the military boys, whatever the case may be, it would have a long consequence on the nation,” he said.

Prophet Uzukwu also called for prayers for the Catholic Church fiery priest, Rev Ejike Mbaka noting that there are secret plans to take him out by certain elements within and outside the church that are not favourably disposed to frank approach to national issues.

The spiritual head of Soul Revival Outreach also condemned the reported attempt by the outgoing administration to take a loan of ten billion dollars from China, in spite of the whooping indebtedness the President Buhari’s led government has thrown the nation into.

Prophet Uzukwu wondered what the government that is expected to exit on May 29 wants to do with the huge loan. He tongue-lashed the current National Assembly members for being the worst so far in the political history of Nigeria due to what he called their inability to check the excesses of the Executive arm of government.

“The current set of National Assembly members are cankerworms, they are not interested in the wellbeing of Nigeria and Nigerians, their actions and activities are always hinged on self and personal glorification. They enjoy affluence at the expense of their constituents who are wallowing in unprecedented poverty,” he stressed.

Prophet Uzukwu stressed the need for an urgent review of the constitution to reduce the cost of governance noting that bicameral legislature has not really help Nigeria.

“The major problem in Nigeria is that most of the people who fought against Gen Sani Abacha’s administration have proved to be worse personality than the late Military dictator.

The experience has shown that Nigeria was not really prepared for nationhood at the time the colonial masters handed over political power to the indigenes.” He observed.

The prophet however commended the Osun State governor, Sen Adeleke for running an administration which is people oriented and friendly.

“Today people are now saying God bless Gov Adeleke, God bless Osun State, the only people who are saying God bless Nigeria are the cronies of the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari who are benefitting from the fantastically corrupt government.

“Secret of Buhari’s government would be revealed when he left office and ears will tingle when the absurdities are revealed,” he noted.

On the campaign for who becomes the Senate President in the next dispensation, Prophet Iyke Uzukwu said that the Ebonyi State governor, Engr Dave Umahi is Ndigbo’s choice and not Sen Orji Uzor Kalu. He said Umahi has positively impacted his state and people and such should be given more responsibilities.

“Other governors are complaining of one thing or the other but under Umahi, Ebonyi State is working,” he asserted. The spiritual head of Soul Revival Outreach urged the Anambra State governor, Prof Charles Soludo to borrow a leaf from his Ebonyi counterpart.
