Former General Superintendent of Assemblies of God Church, Rev Dr Charles Ogbonnaya Osueke, has been buried

He was buried at his country home, Umuomumu Mbieri, Mbaitoli local government area of Imo State, on Thursday.

Many influential persons including Ambassadors, Elders of Assemblies of God, led by Barr Igbokwe, pastors from America, Cameron, Ghana and Nigeria, Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State (represented), former Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Bishop Nwogu, traditional ruler of Umuomumu community and his cabinet, delegation from Deeper Life Bible Church, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) Imo State chapter Chairman, Bishop Titus who testified that the deceased was a great man who humbled himself to the service of God and humanity.

In her tribute, Wife of the deceased, Mrs Osueke, said her husband was a good man who she added she found good friendship in, saying he sacrificed for their children and humanity a lot.

His eldest son, Charles Osueke Junior, in his funeral oration during requiem, described his late father as “a man who was filled with the glory of God. He was open minded, full of love. He was fondly called “Glory of God”.

Urging those mourning the deceased to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude as God knew why he called late Osueke to his bosom, an in-law and pastor in Assemblies of God Church Collins Ogwudire, described him as a great servant of God.

A sympathizer, Ekeledirichukwu Okeafor, son of a notable politician in Imo State, IB Okeafor, mentioned the deceased as a man who devoted his entire life to the work of God through the Assemblies of God.

 

According to him, “late Osueke was a father to me, he watched over all. He made us feel at home and he was very spiritual. His death shook us and we are here to mourn him. He was a great man who shall be remembered always for his good deeds”.
