…call on Christians to eschew bitterness and be law-abiding

The President Bishop Association, Anambra state has lauded the executive governor, Prof Charles Soludo on his infrastructural development in the state.

The Executive President of PBAAS, Bishop A. A Nwodika disclosed this in a communique issued at the end of a two-day Annual convocation from 31st May to 1st June 2024, at the Hilton Leisure Hotel Awka, themed, “The Wind of Change”.

According to Nwodika, “The Bishops enjoin the Body of Christ, especially the Pentecostals (who are about 60% of Anambra population) to eschew bitterness, rancour and division but work towards the advancement of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and live as a shining light in this
dark world. She encourages the populace to be law-abiding and contribute in no small measure, to the progress of our society”.

“The Pentecostal Bishops are proud of our Governor, His Excellency, Prof. Charles
Chukwuma Soludo, for the laudable projects and giant strides of his administration, especially on solid road constructions, improved primary health care, revamped education, drastically reduced insecurity in the State, etc”.

Nwodika stressed that “Anambra State is peaceful and has given credit to the strategic governance of our able Governor, Prof. Soludo. Thumbs up”. PBAAS has maintained a cordial relationship with past administrations of the State”.
“The Pentecostal Bishops, pledge our continued prayers and spiritual support for this administration and Anambra State at large”.

The Association, however, notes “We plead to Parents especially the fathers to be active in church activities and make
time for their children at home. This will help to stop the menace of idol worship and occultism among youths”.

“The Government should do more against cultism, especially among the youth. We have blessed Anambra State and it’s well with her in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Meanwhile, Some of the Bishops present were Bishop A. A Nwodika, Archbishop E.M Ezenwafor, Bishop Charles Uchenna, Bishop J. Nzeakor, Bishop Tim Obidike Lious Morah, Bishop Obi Onubogu, Archbishop Sylvanus Ofili, Bishop Uzo Onyekwere and Bishop Goddy Okafor, among others.
