The Young Progressive Party Anambra state has enjoined all party faithfuls, stakeholders and Ndi Anambra to re strategies plans and reposition themselves to with innovative solutions that will strengthen the party to achieve its mandates.

In a one day sensitization workshop with the theme: The Anambra of our Dreams: Re-strategizing for A Better Future” which was held at on Friday 28th Feb, 2025 attracted top political officers, members of the state working Committees, state executives of the party, executives from Zonal, local and ward levels.
In his welcome address, Anambra state Chairman of YPP, Hon Prince Moses Obi said party faithfuls have gathered to brainstorm and strategize on how to build the Anambra of our dreams and will discussing critical issues affecting the state and exploring innovative solutions to address them.
“This workshop is a crucial step in our party’s efforts to re-strategize and re-position ourselves for the challenges ahead. We believe that the future of our state belongs to us, and it is our responsibility to shape it. We must come together, share our visions and work towards a common goal”.
The Chairman however noted that the party’s mandate is to fully participate in the forth coming elections in the state and win Senate amd Governorship positions. He called on eligible aspirants to come to the party and pick forms as the party will commence sales of forms from March 1st, 2025.
Speaking, the National Chairman of the party, Comrade Bishop Emmauel Amakiri, ably represented by the National Secretary of the Party Hon.Barr Videyeno Bamaiyi assured that the party progress is paramount noting that what the party have achieved so far is just the beginning.
He urged the party members to stand up and do more noting that if they are determined they will be able to produce the next Govenor in Anambra. “You will face many obstacles but I want to assure you that you will be better than what you are today. You have the capacity and ability to achieve the greater hieght in politics. YPP is the big part because it is different from other party because of its strong hold and INEC has continued to direct candidates to get the party. We don’t have virus and I encourage you to nurture it, grow it and I believe we can make it. We have some elections coming up and I want us to determine that we can leave an indelible mark for success”.
He charged members to talk to friends and relatives, neighbours and those interested in politics as YPP is the only credible party that can deliver the mandate of development.
State party Leader, High Chief Chinedu Umeadi while expressing happiness over the new appointment in the party frowned at the lack of unity among YPP faithfuls.
Filing questions from newsmen, Umeadi called on the party supports to be more united and committed in the progress of the party while expressing gratitude on occupied testes at the Federal Representatives, State House Assemblies and Councillor ships charged other aspirants to be politically motivated for success to be achieved.
Anambra South senatorial aspirant under YPP, Ikechukwu Samsom Nwosu (SAM BEN) in his speech described the YPP as a party with peaceful co-existence, love and God’s own party. Stressing that members are committed, handwork and ready to deliver the mandate of winning both the senatorial and the Governorship seat. He promised to deliver if the party ticket is been given to him.
Special attractions were the lecture presentation by the Guest speaker, Dr Uzodimma Chukwuemeka, who spoke on the topic: ‘Strengthening Wards of Local Government: A key to Build a Resident Political Party’.
Dignitaries present were, National Treasurer, Haruna Usman, LOC Chairman, Hon Peter Ozumba (IchieAgu) LOC Secretary-Hon Emma Ezeokafor, Hon Prince Tyndale Okoli, State Publicity Secretary, Mr Ugwuozo Dan state Secretary, YPP First Woman Governorship Candidate, Hon Ifeoma Ezibe, among others.
