The All Progressives Congress Party in Anambra State, have assured Mr President, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu – Ashiwaju, of their readiness to fully support and deliver the mandate of the party come 2027 general election.
The Anambra State Chairman, Senator Emma Anosike who disclosed this shortly after the inauguration of members of the State Working Committee of the party at the State Party Headquarters , Awka, also called on those parading themselves as Progressives to endeavour align with the party by offically declaring.
Addressing Newsmen, Senator Emma Anosike, We want those posing as Progressives to identify with APC and be proud. We all have our identification card, we are strongly behind APC. As we speak today, there is nowhere you go in the southeast without the feel of Mr President.
“Some people will say we are progressives working together, there is nothing like we are working together. If we are working together you have to work with Mr President. We are going to send our first eleven to Abuja, to National Assembly. If your working with Mr President, you cannot come with a different party. Let all progressives join APC, contest election and win, we will support them.”
“Here in Anambra, If you go to the local governments, the government in power shared every position, tell me how are we working together as APC. Our party is open, come to the field and join us, our hands are open, APC is open, we are not blocking any avenue but as far as I am concerned we are out for this Election. We will do anything possible to win this election.”
Filing questions from Newsmen, the chairman maintained that it is impossible for people that are not APC to do anything without carrying people in APC along. “We are celebrities and that is why the deputy governor have to identify and take pictures. So we want people to officially identify with the party. On the issue of our preparedness, you can be able to see what is going on, every ward in Anambra has a functional office with a party flag, we are going to show capacity to Mr President. We are ready and in the next few weeks actions will speak. We have all the support from our national working committee, from our state executives, Mr President, Asiwaju, we have all the supportTinubu, the man to beat. We have all support from the leader, of the southeast APC Governors, the Imo state Governor, Sen Hope Uzodimma. Our young Governors in Ebonyi and Enugu states are fully in support to make sure they give Anambra, an adequate backing,” he added.
I also want to say that every member of our party that wants to contest for election should please come out in full force to contest in the election. We are Very Ready for this Election, we are not looking back and we are not keen with it.”
Meanwhile, the event attracted party leaders, Members of the SWC and their Supporters in the state.
