President of Sierra Leone, His Excellency Julius Maada Bio, has departed Nigeria after attending the 84th birthday celebration of former Nigerian Head of State, His Excellency General Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd.).
The event, which attracted prominent dignitaries, politicians, industrialists, and members of the diplomatic community, was held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, over the weekend.
He commended General Abdulsalami Abubakar for his role in strengthening democracy in Nigeria, particularly for overseeing the successful transition from military to civilian rule in 1999 by handing over power to a democratically elected government.
President Bio also wished the former Head of State many more years in good health and continued service to humanity.

A safe flight back as he travels
Dr. Nwafor who is interested in increasing the volume of trade relationship with the Sierra Leone and Nigeria knows the president will continue to support and strengthene collaboration between both countries, emphasizing the importance of fostering bilateral relations and economic cooperation for mutual development.
