Operatives from the Intelligence Response Team of the Nigerian Police Force successfully eliminated the notorious bandit, Isa Dei-Dei, in a recent operation within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The development was confirmed by ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer, in a statement released on February 7, 2024.
According to Adejobi, the operation was initiated based on credible intelligence regarding the hideout of the infamous bandit group led by Isa Dei-Dei. The law enforcement team swiftly moved to the identified location on February 5, 2024, with the intention of making an arrest.
Upon approaching the hideout, the bandits, upon noticing the presence of the police, attempted to flee. A pursuit ensued, resulting in a fierce gun battle between the operatives and the criminals. In the course of the exchange, Isa Dei-Dei was successfully neutralized, while other members of the gang managed to escape, albeit with gunshot injuries.
The statement emphasized the need for public cooperation, particularly from medical practitioners, urging them to report any individuals or patients displaying gunshot wounds for further investigation. The successful operation signifies a significant achievement in the ongoing efforts to address criminal activities in the region.
