Master trainers and some participants of the ‘One Youth, Two Skills Solution’ under the Anambra’s Ministry of Youths, Sports and development, have held a celebration party in honor of the Executive Governor of the state, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo as he clocks 63 years on earth.
The event which took place on Friday, 28th July in Awka, had in attendance master trainers on different fields such as confectioneries, livestock, fashion, ICT, among others, including Anambra State Town Union members(ASATU), National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN).
Speaking during the programme, Chairman Ohaneze youth Anambra State Chapter, Chigozie Awa, said we are here because of our youth friendly Governor. He expressed happiness that Prof Soludo proved his capability for choosing a youthful leader in the person of Hon Agha Mba. “On behalf of the Ohaneze we say Happy Birthday and remain blessed our hard working governor.
Deputy National President, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Amb Innocent Nduanya thanked the Master trainers for the efforts so far, while wishing Prof Charles Soludo a Happy birthday, urged the youths to take up the bull by the horn and toe the part of our great Anambra men and women who have written their names in the sands of time.
He noted that the training is a must change for youths we are keen to learning new innovations and creativity as the governor’s dream of making one thousand youths millionaires. He advised them to be committed and see the future as bright for Ndi Anambra.
Adding, State Chairman, NYCN Anambra State chapter, Survy Emeka Obi, explained that “for us at the one youth, two skills community we thank Mr Governor for all the things he is doing for us. As he is celebrating his 63years birthday, may God continue to bless and enrich him in wisdom. He however called on the Prof Soludo to keep helping the youth as a youthful governor.
Within his two years in office, he has empowered five thousand youths and still counting, the youths need more because they are the future we hold, and so there is need to invest more on them, he added. Also speaking, one of the Master trainer on Software development and Systems Computer Networking (ICT) Ibekwe Obinna Edward, explained that the good job Prof Soludo is doing for the youths is second to none.
“When I saw it, I thought it was a just a joke but on a second thought I decided to try and I got involved. Along the line I got an alert, this in no doubt motivated me to do more.
Today they have started seeing a good light and are happy at what they are doing, my prayer is that he will live long to finish up the good work he have started for Ndi Anambra. For Mr Ernest Okeke, a Cinematography, said “when I heard of one youth 2 skills, and was asked to help, train Anambra youth we won’t pay for it.
But along the line we were paid and it was a big thing from Mr Governor. “Today I am so happy that I train up to five persons and today they are professionals, I pray God will continue to give him good health, wisdom, and also guide his directions throughout his administration”.
