International Students’ Day: APGA Chieftain, Chief Egwuonwu Cautions Students Against use Of Illicit Drugs

The Chieftain of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), who is the Managing Director of Anambra Rice Mills, Chief Akai Egwuonwu has advised students to desist from consuming illicit drugs and other banned substances that will destroy their future.

 

Chief Egwuonwu made this statement today, 17th Nov, as the world celebrates International Students’ Day, stating that they could only claim their rightful position as leaders in the society when they shun the temptations of peer pressure and reckless life styles.

 

While urging students to desist from such vices in order not to ruin their lives, he charged them to take their studies seriously so that they will fulfill their destiny, stating that it is only when they have understanding, they can stand out and appealed to students to make all efforts to redefine their identities, recreate their identities and don’t let anyone write them off.

 

Speaking on the theme of 2024 International Students’ Day which focuses on the idea that *”Students As Change-Makers For A Better World”*, he said, the theme encourages students to stand for justice, and create positive societal changes through education and collaboration.

 

Chief Egwuonwu further lauded Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR for boosting education sector and making education accessible to every child in the state. He added that Governor Soludo has given hope to many students to pursue their dreams as the future leaders.
