The Chairman of Idemili North Local Government Area, Hon Chief (Sir) Stanley Nkwoka (Ochendo Idemili) has called on Environmental workers at the Council’s Ogidi to ensure that there is total cleanliness within the surroundings.

Hon Nkwoka while disclosing this at his office on 17th July, 2024 equally tasked them to be punctual at duty for optimum service delivery.

Addressing the workers, Ochendo Idemili urged them to work towards carrying out the policies and programmes of the Council geared towards keeping Idemili North clean and healthy, saying that it is no longer business as usual, adding that all hands must be on deck.

The Chief Servant of Idemili North maintained that he would not spare anyone who indulges in acts capable of truncating the set out objectives of the local government, urging them to double their efforts and be ready to entertain some level of discomfort.

The Environmentalist while interacting with the employees harped on cleanliness of the surroundings and punctuality to work, saying that he would do everything within his powers to increase their productivity and outputs.
He thanked the Environment Friendly Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo for the opportunity given to him to showcase his expertise and technical Know-how on matters of environmental cleanliness.

Speaking on behalf of others, the Head of Department of Environmental Health Sciences Department, Mrs Anene Beatrice extolled the Council Boss for his words of encouragement and admonition, even as she said there were factors militating against them which includes lack of seats and tables in their offices, leaking roofs, absence of mobile court to try sanitary offenders, among others.

The Chairman promised to expedite action towards tackling their demands and urged them to be alive to their responsibilities.

Meanwhile, Familiarization and Interaction formed the highlights of the meeting.
