A world class organisation with United Nations ECOSOC special consultative status since 2019 known as the International Association of World Peace (IWAPA) Advocates has inaugurated eminent peace ambassadors who will contribute their quota towards ensuring peace and sustainable development.

The event which took place at the Hilton hotels and resort, Awka, during the weekend had in attendance dignitaries, representatives of government officials, and community leaders.
Speaking during the welcome address, International spokesman for IWAPA, Amb Dr Emmanuel Nkweke said IWAP’s mandate is to ensure effectiveness of the UN sustainable goals and UNESCO culture of peace program particularly in the maintenance of global peace and international security and the restoration of human dignity.
He charged the newly inaugurated members to promote peace and ensure sustainable development within their societies and communities, so as to combat poverty, and Foster self reliance and help them develop stronger voice and visibility in the political arena.
In his keynote address, the International world peace president, Denmark, His Eminence, Amb Per Stafsen, noted that IWAP is a an organisation of business technocrats. Innovators, social entrepreneurs and highly professional persons who have pledged to uphold the highest ethical standard of the United Nations and have been consistent in providing solutions that will make the world a better place.
Amb Stafsen however, urged world peace advocates, the goverment and community leaders to always offer dialogue and the act of fellowshipping together as a concerned people with mutual feelings rather than use of force or any uncivil actions.
Newly inaugurated IWAPA, Anambra state Director, Amb lady Ify. B. Egbosiuba (Ada-eze) while expressing happiness over her appointment promised to use her wealth of experience and resources to build an IWAPA office in Anambra, and bring the people together for peace.
Speaking on remedy to insecurity, Lady Egbosiuba maintained that there is need for mothers to bring closer their sons and daughters and seek that which is their needs as mothers. Adding that the goverment has a vital role to play especially in the areas of empowerment and vocational trainings so as to keep the youths engaged in meaningful ventures for self reliance and social development.
One of the recipients of the eminent peace ambassadors, His Royal Majesty Dr Michael C. Idigo (Ezeudo) Igwe Aguleri while thanking the IWAPA for finding him worthy noted that peace is very important part of any community that desires growth and development. I am happy to become an ambassador of peace, and I will offer my best to that.
Special highlights were induction of new Eminent Ambassadors of peace, inauguration of the Anambra state executives by the International Director, His Eminence, Prof, Amb Chidi Ehiriodo and award presentations to distinguished peace advocates.
